We are a growing metal fabrication company in Santa Rosa that specializes in structural steel, and miscellaneous metals in the construction industry.
We are now accepting resumes to fill an immediate need for welders (shop and field).
MUST BE CERTIFIED-(AWS D1.1 & D1.8 IS A PLUS)
MUST HAVE A VALID CDL
The job is a full time hourly position with paid holidays, vacation, sick and medical benefits. Wages are negotiable but based upon your experience and skill set.
Major Job Functions & Responsibilities:
-Verify conformance of work-pieces to shop drawings and specifications.
-Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or sub-units, following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs, welding torches and hand tools.
-Recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as gas metal arc welding equipment.
-Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
-Lay-out and examine metal stock or work-pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met.
-move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
-Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders and drill presses, to bend cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form and assemble metal components.
