Minimum skills/requirements for Journeyman Carpenter:
-5 years of residential carpentry experience
-Experience in new construction and remodeling
-Strong understanding in all framing, interior and exterior trim, doors and windows, cabinets, etc.
-An understanding of other areas of construction and related trades
-The ability to read and interpret plans accurately
Minimum expectations for Journeyman Carpenter:
-Must have own hand tools
-Willingness to improve on and/or learn new techniques
-Work well in a team setting or independently
-High standard of safety practices at all times
-Punctual self-starter with reliable transportation
-Motivated with a positive attitude
-Can offer efficient and creative solutions but knows when to ask questions
Compensation:
Hourly rate will be based on skill level, knowledge and experience.
-Journeyman Carpenter starting pay is $32 - $36 per hour
-Apprentice Carpenter starting pay is $20 - $26 per hour
-Laborer starting pay is $18 - $20 per hour
