Job Title: Site Superintendent – Residential & Commercial Construction

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee on-site construction activities for residential remodels, new builds, additions, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high standards of quality. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Coordination
Manage daily field operations and site logistics.
Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections.
Maintain communication with project managers, office staff, and clients.
Lead weekly jobsite meetings and document updates via Buildertrend or similar platforms.
Understand full-cycle construction including framing, roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, cabinetry, and trim.
Quality & Safety
Ensure work meets quality standards and building codes.
Conduct daily safety checks and enforce OSHA compliance.
Review drawings/specs and identify potential issues early.
Maintain a clean and professional jobsite.
Team Leadership
Supervise carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors.
Foster a collaborative and solution-oriented environment.
Mentor junior staff and model professionalism.
Client Interaction
Serve as the on-site representative, ensuring a positive client experience.
Communicate proactively about schedules and milestones.
Address client concerns professionally.
Administrative & Documentation
Track progress reports, site photos, and change orders.
Manage inspections and coordinate with local officials.
Verify deliveries and materials.
Collaborate with project managers on forecasting and planning.
Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of construction experience, 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of residential/commercial construction and building codes.
Proficient in Buildertrend, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.
Able to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Familiar with masonry, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems.
Able to lift 40 lbs and operate heavy equipment.
Must provide own tools, have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
Job sites are located throughout Sonoma County.
