Title: Power Electronics Engineer
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Salary: $120k - $150k
Requirements: 3-8+ years professional experience with power electronics - experience in the automotive industry is a BIG plus!

We are currently in a major growth phase and looking for mid and senior level electronics engineers to help develop power electronics and systems.

What You Will Be Doing
- Develop power electronics and systems using digital control
- Use MATLAB Simulink to develop control systems and plant models for deployment using Embedded Coder
- Analyze system requirements from customers and develop system- and device level solutions that cost-effectively meet those requirements
- Develop product test plans and requirements to meet automotive product development guidelines, including DFMEA, PFMEA and PPAP
- Design circuits and systems using Altium Designer
- Design PCBs and complete PCB layouts using Altium Designer
- Work with engineers to develop densely-populated boards incorporating processors and low voltage components with high voltage and power electronics
components
- Develop standards for PCB design and manufacturability requirements using IPC guidelines and standards and DFM principles
What You Need for this Position
3-8+ years professional experience with power electronics
- PCB Design
- Direct experience with power conversion theory and design: inverters, converters, motor controllers, H-bridge, dual active bridge (DAB), active front end (AFE), vector control, etc.
- Understanding of power electronics components: MOSFETS, IGBTs, SiC, transformers, magnetics, MOVs, SCRs, etc.
- Experience in the automotive / Battery industry is highly desired
- Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA and PPAP
- IPC standards for manufacturability
- UL requirements for voltage creepage and clearance, such as UL 840
