About the Job:

This position attains product and engineering compliance by preventing compliance issues; developing and executing compliance programs; completing documentation

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Follow all safety rules and regulations, all work must be done thinking “Safety First”

- Prevents compliance issues by collaborating with engineering planning and design teams; reviewing design data; identifying and resolving product and engineering design issues; identifying short-term and long-range issues; researching and identifying applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes; developing compliance policies

- Develops compliance plans by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying compliance engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria; adapting and modifying compliance engineering options; developing and evaluating new compliance methodologies; qualifying vendors, components, and parts

- Determines compliance by establishing compliance test standards; conducting and witnessing tests; performing diagnostic procedures; measuring performance; analyzing and evaluating findings; performing forensic analysis of failures; troubleshooting failures; supervising sub-contractors

- Documents compliance by completing approval applications; recording test results; preparing investigative reports; preparing and filing Declarations of Conformity; maintaining compliance database

- Prepares compliance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing measurement data and trends

- Enhances engineering and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

- Good communication skills

- Gets along with others

- Able to lift up to 40 pounds and 41+ pounds as a two-person lift

- Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging compliance engineering practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks

- General duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

- Must have a great “can do” attitude

- Outstanding problem-solving resolution, willing to lead by example

- Take initiative and works well independently

- Knowledge of cleanroom standards a plus

- Knowledge of EMC and Safety regulatory requirements a plus

- Knowledge of Wi-Fi regulatory requirements a plus

- Knowledge of GMP process a plus

- Knowledge of 21 CFR part 11 a plus

- Knowledge of Ul certification process a plus

- Knowledge of CARB regulatory requirements a plus

- Knowledge of NIOSH regulatory requirements a plus

- Packaging, Production Planning, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Manufacturing Quality, Organization, General Math Skills, Process Improvement, Strategic Planning, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, CAD

Minimum Requirements:

- 4-year degree or years related experience and/or training. Three years’ experience preferred. Particle counting experience a definite plus

Working Conditions:

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Objects weighing between 41 & 70 pounds require a two-person lift. Objects weighing more than 70 pounds require equipment to assist in the lift.
