Job Summary:
Firestone Walker Brewing Co has an opening for a Financial Analyst at our Paso Robles location. The position will report to the Controller and work closely with all Accounting personnel including the CFO.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
Track, analyze, and report financial performance against budgets and forecasts
Partner in monthly accounting activities (assist accounting with accruals, journal entries, proper coding review, and preparation of working papers/schedules to support month end balances)
Analyze financial results for accuracy, determining variance drivers and writing narrative to supplement financial reports
Support Accounting team with special projects, special reports, and internal process improvement
Partner with all departments on the annual budget process
Assist with daily accounting entries, as needed
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
Minimum 3 years of high-level accounting experience
Outstanding knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to apply them
Advanced Excel skills and ability to create professional presentations
Excellent analytical skills
Natural curiosity and the ability to problem solve
Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments
Knowledge of SAP Business One, a plus
