Regional hotel company is looking for a full-time Accountant to join their team!
M-F 8:00am-4:30pm, with outstanding benefits.
Job duties include:
- Main accountant in the home office for two or more hotels
- Manually process over 1,000 AP invoices per month, including data entry, reconciling to vendor statements & issuing checks
- Reconcile daily hotel revenues from POS system to credit card statements & bank accounts, & prepare corresponding journal entries
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations & resulting journal entries
- Prepare & maintain monthly supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts
- Maintain monthly fixed asset supporting schedules, including progress costs for projects in process
- Prepare & provide support for daily/monthly journal entries
- Assist with month-end closing
- Reconcile & file monthly TOT reports to municipalities
- File monthly/periodic sales tax reports
- Prepare & issue year end 1099s & related filings
Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of A/P, reconciling large volumes of data, general ledger systems, & charts of accounts
- Accounting degree or 3 years experience in ALL of the above areas
- Experience with Sage 100 GL system, including Sage intelligence, a huge plus
- Very good Excel, Word & Outlook skills
- High degree of organizational skills & attention to detail
- Self-motivating & can work with little supervision
