A local Accounting, Tax and Payroll office is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team!
M-F 8am to 5pm (overtime during tax season)
Duties include:
- Prepare complex business, fiduciary and individual tax returns
- Initiate, review and respond to correspondence from federal, state and local tax authorities
- Prepare proof of mailing/transmitting multiple payments, returns, and other compliance to the respective jurisdictions, and tracking/organizing receipts
- Assist with tax provision calculation and documentation
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Tax planning and research
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Provide support for special tax projects and tax initiatives
- Maintain and monitor tax deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Prior experience in tax accounting
- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
