Full-Time Office Receptionist Position

Role and Responsibilities

- Support Son Care Foundation, LLC (Thousand Hills Pet Resort, New Life K9s, Mission Cars, and Alpha Academy) by managing and overseeing resort standards and procedures as a direct and initial representative of the organization.

- Ownership- This is the first and most important standard to have. As an employee of THPR we want every person to make this job be the most important job they have ever had. It is the job you have now, and lives of animals are in your hands. Maintaining the health and safety of the animals and staff at THPR 24/7, 365 days a year is the top priority.

- Daily tasks include answering phone calls and emails, checking clients in and out of the facility, taking detailed notes regarding dog information (ex: feeding instructions, medications, allergies, behavioral traits), making reservations, managing waitlists, and processing new clients.

- Provide caring, friendly, and fun customer interactions and relationships. Forward complaints to the resort manager. Have a full understanding of operations and procedures. Advise Resort Manager on beneficial changes or improvements for customer relationships.

- Build relationships to further customer trust by listening, conversing, maintaining integrity (at THPR and outside THPR), continuous communication, and presenting yourself professionally through appearance and actions.

- Ensure that all office and customer standards and policies are maintained. Makes suggestions for improvement of office and customer standards and policies to Resort Manager.

- Maintain high resort standards by caring for office equipment and supplies. Reports deficiencies and needs to manager through interagency communication.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in customer service. Able to navigate Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Evernote, Google Docs, task management programs, Acrobat and online database management. Strong organizational skills. Experience working with animals is a plus.

Preferred Skills

Inter-agency communication, Animal Handling, Promoting Process Improvement, Reporting, Conflict resolution.

Additional Notes

- Position will be hourly. Total hours will be 40 hours/week.

- No overtime approved for this position.

- Reports directly to the Thousand Hills Pet Resort Manager.

- Attend Monthly All-Call Staff Meetings typically held on Tuesdays at 6:30pm and occasional Office Staff Meetings.
