SSG is a federal contracting firm servicing various clients for the Federal Government. Working with the US Forest Services, at a very remote location in San Simeon, we are in need of several Engineering Techs. The site is 1.5 miles by foot or horse. It is at a old mining site, we will need to remove 160 cubic yards of contaminated soil by shovel or hand. The contaminated soil has high levels of mercury and needs to be removed with 2 trips back and forth each day. It is estimated to be 6 weeks of work.
Due to the nature of work and distance to the work site, they will be camping M-F.
Requirements:
HAZWOPER certified
1-5 years experience with general labor, construction, civil work, or remediation
Must be a team player
Must be able to walk / hike 1.5 miles to the site
Must be able to work under warm temperatures on your feet all day 8 hours a day
