An established Central Coast General Engineering Contractor is currently searching for an assistant estimator to join our team in San Luis Obispo. Salary will depend on experience.

Responsibilities:
Search multiple bid sites to locate potential job opportunities, attend job walks, complete material take-offs, qualify accuracy and completeness of construction documents, Manage RFI’s and addendum's, obtain multiple competitive prices for materials and subcontractors and other bid costs, conduct peer review of estimates, complete change order pricing, review contracts for scope and price.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of the basics of construction estimating in both the private and public works environments
Experience in the construction industry AND/OR a degree in Construction Management or Engineering
Able to work well with others
Good time/priority management skills
Able to work under pressure when there are bid deadlines to meet
We are willing to train the right candidate if you are working on a related college degree and do not have much experience, but you have the right attitude.
