Poly Performance is an industry leader in the on-line parts distribution of performance off-road vehicle parts and accessories. Synergy Manufacturing is an industry innovator and manufacturer of high-end automotive performance components. Both companies reside in a shared 60,000 sq/ft facility located in San Luis Obispo, California. We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as Lead Engineer for Synergy Manufacturing. This position will report directly to the CEO & GM of both Companies.

Synergy Manufacturing is an industry innovator and manufacturer of high-end automotive performance components specializing in late model Jeep Wrangler and Dodge 2500/3500 Ram vehicle platforms. These components are predominantly made in the USA and are primarily for the off road aftermarket. Synergy has specialized in the manufacturing and distribution of premium suspension products and systems since 2005. In addition to suspension systems, Synergy also manufactures a complete line of heavy duty steering components, axle upgrades and other related products that dramatically improve vehicle on and off road capability, performance, and appearance.
Job Description:
Synergy Manufacturing is looking for a dynamic, talented, experienced and extremely motivated individual to lead/manage all Product Engineering functions. We are looking for someone who has experience in developing new automotive components from start to finish. In additional to the design and engineering of new products manufacturing experience is highly recommended as well to make sure production has the tools needed to make production runs timely and consistent. This person should have an affinity for cutting edge technology and processes as well. The ideal candidate will report directly to the CEO / GM and provide leadership/coordination of the engineering department. They will also help manage and maintain production equipment on the production floor as other company assets such as vehicles etc.
Responsibilities:
-Design Synergy MFG's product line from start to finish.
-Implement new products into production
- Source sub components from new and existing national and international vendors
-Work closely with production to ensure products are being made correctly and efficiently.
-Production is number one focus.
-Making sure production has the tools and fixtures needed to effectively do their job takes precedence over other projects.
-Set and analyze retail price points and inventory part number structuring.
-Build and maintain company vehicles. Manage mechanics and shop techs to ensure there is work to be done and are completing it correctly.
-Set up and maintain machines, tooling, and fixture creation.
Desired Skills & Experience:
-Engineering background with strong vehicle dynamics skills.
-Strong metal fabrication, machining and engineering skills.
-Familiar with Solidworks, IQMS, G Suite, Microsoft Excel, Cincinnati Press Brake software, Bend Pro G2, Bend Tech
