Position Summary:Â The Baker will work closely with our Pastry Chef to make our daily pastries, muffins, cookies, and cakes.

Essential Functions of the job:
Basic knowledge of baking
Have a neat and clean uniform at all times
Fluent in spoken and written English
Proper sanitation of station and all coolers, including walk in and reach ins
Follow direction of senior kitchen management, executive chef, chef de cuisine, pastry chef
Â
Qualifications:
Good attitude
Strong attention to detail and desire to produce quality product
Prior baking experience preferred
Excellent communication skills
 Additional Job Duties:
Able to work early hours
Flexible work schedule
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Able to work alone efficiently, once trained

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand continuously for the duration of the shift (eight hours).
Ability to lift packages (under 40 pounds).
Ability to work in stressful situations.

Education, Experience, Skills:
High school diploma or G.E.D.
CA Food Handler Certification
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks accordingly
Ability to work in mentally demanding situations.
