Our Wine Club Manager requires full-time availability on Thursdays through Mondays with occasional evenings and holidays. We are a small, family-owned and operated winery that is celebrating 25 years in business. Our philosophy is to enjoy life, most of all wine, and share that passion with our guests. We are looking for someone who is interested in wine and looks forward to the opportunity to work in a friendly, professional atmosphere. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Wine Club Execution:

Primary responsibility of the Wine Club Manager is to provide leadership and education of all wine club operations and to oversee all wine club releases including wine selection, scheduling, release dates, inventory movement, order processing, shipment activities and follow up activities.

Oversee the development of club newsletters, including recipe development, creative writing about current winery happenings, and wine tasting notes. Efficiently distribute the newsletter via the website, email, etc.

Initiate and oversee email marketing campaigns, including notifying members of shipment details, promotions, events, etc.

Maintain website information relevant to club members including newsletters, event information, and current club offerings

Contribute to social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, with wine club motivated posts

Create, implement and maintain incentives to retain memberships and achieve sales goals

Manage the wine club email list so that all members are successfully reached for promotions and updates

Maintain and monitor the in house inventories for club member allocations for pick up

Update company website with current wine club information and offerings

Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to plan and host club related events

Timely email response to club members to confirm wine club sign-ups and cancellations

System Management, Shipping, and Compliance:

Routine database management of memberships. Ensure all member data including address changes, credit card updates, special requests, shipping preferences, etc. are always accurate and useful for the company and customer. Perform regular updates to contact members with expiring and/or declined cards

Monitor and fulfill website sales and membership updates

Manage all aspects of direct shipping, including assisting with compliance

Work as a liaison with shipping companies, resolve disputes and review monthly statements

Sales and Tasting Room:

Active member of the Tasting Room team, engaging guests and interacting with club members by professionally pouring wines, educating guests on winemaking techniques and wine club benefits

Develop new and enticing methods for engaging wine club members in the tasting room as an effort to retain members and entice new memberships

Ensure that the tasting room, restrooms and inventory areas are clean, neat and stocked at all times

Ensure that the retail displays of wine and non-wine products are attractive and enticing to customers

Open and close POS/cash registers and run end of day reports

Attend winery functions and meetings to promote the brand and wine club

Assist guests with transporting wine to their vehicles

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs

Effectively stock wines, aid in the setup of events (tables, chairs, move heavy objects)

Other Requirements:

Must be 21+ years of age

Valid Driver’s License

Candidates must have a minimum of three years of related experience, winery preferred

A bachelor’s degree is preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Wine Direct, and Ship Compliant Software

Excellent communication skills, personable and professional demeanor

Excellent planning and organizational skills, project management

Motivated self-starter, ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

Must possess an enthusiasm for wine and the Paso Robles region

This is a full-time opportunity.

Compensation is hourly with a generous commission on wine club sign-ups.
