We're a local winery looking for a Human Resource Manager to work with our Executive Team to understand and execute the company’s human resource and talent strategy, particularly current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention and succession planning. This position will also support the company Controller in various accounting functions. The Human Resource Manager will report directly to the Controller and Owner for daily tasks and projects. Input from the company’s Executive Committee and outside counsel will be provided to properly manage all employee grievances and investigations.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree, with a focus on Human Resources Management or 3+ years working in HR, preferred.
Must be intimately familiar with federal and state employment and labor laws.
Spanish a plus

Thorough knowledge of HR best practices, employment-related laws, CA labor laws, and government regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and interact at all levels within the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters.
Ability to work comfortably and successfully under pressure while handling competing priorities.
Must be detail-oriented and have excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
Ability to speak comfortably in large group settings.
Proficiency in MS Office Suites.
