Schedule will vary. Primarily will be overnight shifts starting at 10pm. 40+ hours per week. Position can be temp to hire for the right candidate.
Position Summary: Demonstrates maintenance skills to ensure effective equipment operation. This position is committed to ensuring the best quality and products as well as excellent customer service by adhering to regular quality audits (AIB), good manufacturing practices (GMP's), compliance with federal/state/local regulations (FDA, OSHA, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, etc.), HACCP, Global Food Safety Standards (BRC), and environmental compliance.
Key Job Responsibilities: Works in accordance with defined safety regulations and procedures at all times. Supports General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintains Product Quality at all times. Ensures equipment is maintained, guarded and operated in accordance with defined safety regulations and procedures at all times. Performs required preventive and predictive maintenance (PM) on equipment. Performs diagnostic testing and interpretation of results. Understands levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues. Proactively identifies improvement focus areas. Participates in root cause problem solving. Works cooperatively with production staff to provide effective maintenance support. Promotes a strong teamwork environment. Minimizes levels of scrap and rework. Identifies potential cost savings and cost avoidance measures. Other duties as assigned

Education: H.S. diploma or equivalent PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED.
Requirements: This position requires a mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of safety protocols. Strong maintenance skill sets to include welding, electrical wiring, equipment set-up and changeover, reading of blueprints and schematics. Experience in a bakery maintenance department is preferred
