Pacific Coast Transportation is seeking experienced warehouse and forklift operators at our Paso Robles, Ca. main warehouse facility.
Minimum requirements include but are not limited to:
Highly productive and motivated, with a strong sense of urgency
Dependable and reliable
Forklift experience - doubles preferred
Capable of multi-tasking
Intuitive to next steps
Computer proficient a big bonus
Wine warehouse background is highly desirable
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Consolidation
Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Work nights, with Thursday and Friday nights mandatory and often includes Saturdays (part day)
Responsibilities would include a wide variety of warehouse functions:
The loading & unloading of trailers
Pulling orders and building loads based on pick lists
Pulling, verifying and entering pick lists within the company computer system
Counting and staging freight
Verify and label loads
Consolidation of freight
Warehouse housekeeping maintenance
Must be able to - physically twist, bend, lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull full pallets of wine for an extended and consistent period of time, this is a highly physical position. Handle fragile cased goods, have basic math skills and have computer competency.
Skilled single/double forklift experience is not required but is desired.
The position is considered full time. The shifts are Monday - Friday starting at 6 or 7 pm and can include Saturdays and/or Sundays The schedule can be determined and can be flexible, however, Thursday and Friday nights are a mandatory requirement. Some nights can go later and some nights you may finish early. Everyone works as a flexible team to get the job done.
