The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Barbara (Superior Court) seeks two Network Administrators/Supervisors (AKA: EDP Systems and Programming Analyst Senior) to join its Information Technology team. Both positions will serve as IT technical leads, and will supervise other IT professionals. These two positions will collectively lead and maintain the design and architecture of the Superior Courts wide area network (WAN) by supporting its technology systems and services at an enterprise level across multiple locations throughout the County of Santa Barbara. Their responsibilities will include the planning, administration and troubleshooting of the Courts network infrastructure and systems architecture, including system hardware, software applications, high level security, data integrity, and disaster recovery. Ideal candidates will have a wide breadth of knowledge across information technologies and trends to ensure the Superior Court is positioned for the future. The Superior Court is looking for innovative, customer-service focused self-starters who can lead complex technology projects from start to finish and effectively communicate with diverse groups across the organization, including end users and management.

THE JOB

The IT Department for the Superior Court includes over 100 virtual and physical servers, supports approximately 15 applications, including a case management system, records management, jury management and several smaller applications, some of which are integrated with other justice system partners. Our organization is a Microsoft shop, running Windows and utilizing Office 365.

These are public service positions that report to the Director of Information Technology. The positions have similar responsibilities, however they may support different business areas as directed and depending on the needs of the organization. Both positions will serve as IT technical leads, and will supervise other IT professionals who provide help desk, network, applications, reporting and other infrastructure support. These positions will be responsible for the Courts network infrastructure, systems architecture and administration, network and building security system hardware, software applications, data loss prevention, and IT project planning for six different Superior Court locations across the County of Santa Barbara.

Employment Standards:

Completion of 24 quarter/18 semester units of college level courses in the principles and methods of systems analysis, systems design, computer program design, computer programming using a language utilized by the hiring department, and information system technology; and four years of increasingly responsible applications analysis experience for the type of business application and computer environments used by the hiring department; OR

Two years of experience as an EDP Systems and Programming Analyst II with Santa Barbara County Superior Court for the type of business application and computer Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, and abilities, as determined by the Court.

Ability to travel regularly throughout the County, and ability to work after hours and weekend availability

Powershell and scripting knowledge

Experience with assembly and presentation of reports

Compensation and Benefits:The salary range is $91,422 “ 110,252 Annually DOE/DOQ; salary listed includes annual unit cash allowance of $6,150 and will receive an additional 3% increase to base salary in July, 2019.
