Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort is seeking a Sales Associate/Cashier.

Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort and Spa is a beautiful property; a truly unique location with tremendous beauty and impeccable weather year-round. Situated on more than 100 acres of forest, hills and meadows, within walking distance to the beach, this historic property is a destination like no other. The Property is inspired by its mineral spring water and the spectacular views that surround. It is located in the lush mountains near Avila Beach, California
Job Summary: Provides customer service in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner to all guests. Responsible for receiving payment in the form of cash, checks, and credit cards from customers and/or employees in exchange for goods or services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answers phones
Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Adheres to proper check-in and check-out procedures for spa treatments and outdoor hot tubs.
Assists guest in gift shop with purchases and general questions.
Assists on hot tub reservations
Assigns & directs clients to lockers and hot tubs.
Understands general information about the facilities.
Stocks all snacks and beverages.
Keep towels stocked and laundered as necessary.
Assists gift shop manager in receiving new merchandise and building new displays.
Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of work area.
Completes daily duties check list
Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the department head or manager on duty
Performs other duties as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. One year of experience or equivalent preferred.
Excellent customer service
Acute attention to detail
Must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenings
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (s) used in the workplace.
Basic typing skills and ability to operate standard office equipment including: copier, fax, telephone, calculator, etc.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Calculate figures and amounts.
Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work in stressful situations
Ability to maintain friendly demeanor when working on fast paced environment
Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time or an entire shift, repetitive motions, climb stairs, balance, stoop, squat, bend, twist, kneel, reach, grasp and squeeze with both hands. Talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move, carry, push and pull up to 30lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Work conditions include exposure to scents and mineral water sulfur odor.
This is a part time position.
