Delivery Merchandiser and Warehouse Assistant
Overview:
Our busy and growing winery is currently looking for a team player to fill the position of Delivery Merchandiser/Warehouse Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers, reviewing orders for accuracy prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. This fast-paced position will also require you to stock and face product on shelves, displays and in coolers and maintain accurate pricing in all accounts.
Responsibilities include:
Merchandising and Delivery- 70%
Delivery of case good and kegs to local area accounts
Filling, merchandising, and rotating product on displays and in cold drink equipment
Verifying accurate pricing displayed
Foster relationship with account personnel and provide superior customer service to all accounts serviced
Maintaining and organizing backstock as needed
Ensure neat appearance of all product in assigned accounts
Maintain brand standards at every account
Warehouse- 20%
Assist in daily warehouse operations
Operate forklift and maintain a safe working environment at all times
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location
Process ecommerce orders
Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles
Work as an active team member to complete team goals
Other-10%
Attend Local pourings and off-site events as a representative of the winery
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising products or retail management experience is strongly preferred
Understanding of the wine industry, varietals, vinification process and distribution system
Valid drivers license for your state of residency and an excellent driving history for the last seven years.
Willingness to get forklift certified
The ability to pass and maintain physical requirements
Excellent customer service skills
Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
Past job performance must reflect dependability, initiative, professional demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound Judgment
Ability to work in fast paced continuous lifting environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of product repetitively
Availability to work some weekends and some holidays
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday; Overtime, weekends and holidays as required by business activities.
