Under general supervision, performs basic facility maintenance, trouble-shooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and installation techniques for properties, machines and equipment.
What You Will Do:
â¢ Participates in machinery trouble-shooting, preventative maintenance, and documents repairs made in required systems.
â¢ Works on assigned projects; responds to emergency maintenance calls.
â¢ Interprets technical documents (prints, manuals) as required.
â¢ Maintains constructive cross-functional relationships.
â¢ Communicates equipment malfunctions with other maintenance workers and team leads to develop and implement a corrective action plan.
â¢ Evaluates and adjusts machinery for changes in materials, environment conditions, or operational error.
â¢ Searches for and executes against continuous improvement opportunities.
â¢ Observes functionality of installed equipment and systems to detect mechanical, electrical or operational hazards to determine the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
â¢ Maintains and operates machining tools, drill presses, power tools, and hand tools.
â¢ Promotes occupational safety standards; gives others feedback on their safety performance.
â¢ Follows shop safety practices and shop housekeeping practices.
â¢ Provides general facility and landscaping systems maintenance, servicing, and care to include support for other departments and cross-functional partners.
â¢ Utilizes basic maintenance skills to perform essential functions such as welding, mechanical work, equipment adjustment, plumbing, masonry, pipe-fitting, troubleshooting and lubrication.
â¢ Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
â¢ Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

What You Will Need:
â¢ High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment including exposure to basic maintenance.
â¢ Required to work a rotating shift/schedule throughout the year (day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10); required to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
â¢ Candidates for this position must have a valid driverâs license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driverâs license or appropriate state driverâs license within 30 days of hire.
â¢ Required to perform job duties at extreme heights.
â¢ Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within Maintenance.
What Will Set You Apart:
â¢ 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment including basic maintenance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
â¢ Skilled in forklift and aerial lift operation.
â¢ Experience working in a food manufacturing facility.
â¢ Operates well in a team setting.
â¢ Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel at a basic level.
â¢ Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
â¢ Provide own tools
