Job Summary
Safely navigate a commercial garbage truck through the city and country areas to provide service to our customers by completing scheduled stops and service orders. Position requires excellent communication skills and professional demeanor between the driver and office staff, supervisors, co-workers as well as all customers.
Responsibilities
Work professionally with customers.
Route completion handled timely and efficiently.
Ability to learn and use onboard computing system.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Operate vehicle in accordance OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
Complete daily Pre- and Post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.
Physical Demands
Exiting the vehicle throughout the day is required to open refuse enclosure gates, open locked dumpsters, and push/pull refuse dumpsters out of enclosures and into a position capable of being serviced by the refuse truck.
