Description They will ensure materials are purchased to specification, delivered on schedule, while coordinating directly with suppliers and internal personnel throughout the organization. This position will provide administrative support for the department.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Review requisitions to ensure items being procured are to the specifications of the requestor

Identify the most appropriate supplier to fulfill requisitions

Contact suppliers for competitive bids

Ensure items purchased are received and within expected timelines

Place orders with suppliers and monitor the order

Scan supporting documents and attach to requisitions, purchase orders or supplier records as required

Monitor purchase orders and follow up where necessary to ensure they are closed out on a regular basis

Handle and coordinate returns with the supplier

Interact with suppliers and build strong relationships

Research new suppliers and make recommendations

Manage supplier accounts ensuring contracts and other documentation is maintained current

Follow up on expired contracts or certificates of insurance

Assist with the preparation of service orders

Assist with the review and assembling of supplier documentation, including contracts and certificates of insurance

Assist with the RFP process

Perform additional duties and assist with projects as assigned

Actively support the Company’s commitment to quality and all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including strong Excel skills

Effective written and strong verbal communication skills

Highly meticulous with attention to detail

Strong organization skills

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels within the organization as well as with third parties

High-energy level, self-motivated, positive attitude

Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion

Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously while delivering results timely
