Support a department within a company in the Investment Management/Companies industry as an Accounting Clerk through this employment opportunity offered at Accountemps. The Accounting Clerk obligations will consist of matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary-to-full-time employment based in the South Pasadena, California area.How you will make an impactRectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers
Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit
Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of an array of sources
Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
RequirementsAbility to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
5+ years of relevant experience
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Solid understanding of individual taxes
Proficiency in trust and estate taxes
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
