The Technical Lead (TECH LEAD) position is a senior development/supervisory position in the organization. The Technical Lead position corresponds to the Development Technical Team Leader (Team Lead) role on projects, and supervises the day-to-day activity of development team (back-end developers and/or front-end developers) and functions as a project team's most senior applications engineer. The Technical Lead reports organizationally to the Development Manager; however, he or she partners functionally within project teams, working under the direction of the Technical Architect (TA), and the Project Manager (PM) or Application Coordinator (AC). The Technical Lead can be involved in sprint planning, running daily scrums, performing code reviews, and communicating with team members on both progress and roadblocks.On projects of smaller size and simple-to-intermediate complexity, the Technical Lead can be called upon to perform software development and is expected and required to have and maintain the skills of a Senior Application Engineer on the platform.Required Skills and Capabilities:Capable of successfully leading Large Size or Complex projectsCapable of successfully leading multiple Small Size or Simple Complexity projectsProficient in core Ecommerce functionalities and platform specific customizationProficient understanding of platform specific architectureProficient in developing web applications for the relevant focus (i.e. Front-End or Back-End) and platform (i.e. Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) (aka Demandware), Magento, SAP Hybris, etc.)Proficient in managing the administration of the relevant platform (i.e. Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) (aka Demandware), Magento, SAP Hybris, etc.)Proficient in using and managing version control through Git – including planning and creating branches, and performing mergesProficient in merging JavaScript, including relevant librariesProficient in effectively document complex functionality in code and documentation.Ability to lead, enforce, and help define development standardsCurrent Developer certification in the relevant platform (i.e. Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) (aka Demandware), Magento, SAP Hybris) or ability to obtain such certification within 3 months of hireSolid understanding of Object Oriented conceptsSolid understanding of the MVC paradigmCandidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.Applicants for employment in the US must have valid work authorization that does not now and/or will not in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the US by Capgemini.Applications Consultants have expertise in a specific technology environment. These roles also require functional and methodological capabilities in testing and training.Required Skills and Experience:You are an expert in one or more business processes and technology practices and are accountable for translating a business case into a detailed technical design. Alternatively, you are responsible for operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications. You may also be responsible for integration testing and user acceptance testing. You act as a stream lead, guiding team members by experience. You are seen as active member within technology communities. Qualification: 7-10 years (3 years min relevant experience in the role) experience, Bachelor’s Degree. Certification: SE level 1 and seeking level 2. Must have experience in Package Configuration.
