The Inventory Management Product Management group designs, creates, implements and supports merchandise planning, allocation and price optimization capabilities that enable Client to manage business and maximize profitability throughout the product lifecycle.
Projects are designed to create sustainable competitive advantages that generate significant financial return and enhance the customer experience.
The Inventory Strategy Analyst will work within the Product Management team to drive the business support of capabilities for new initiatives and the optimization of existing Inventory Management systems. The Analyst will be the primary support for an inventory management and merchandising decision support system and business process.
This person will partner cross-brand and with Client's team to resolve issues with the system and identify opportunities for improvement in support of business end users.

Serve as the primary contact for user support issues; manage day to day process, issue prioritization, trouble shooting and communication of status and resolution to impacted parties and key stakeholders
Partner with project, product management and technical teams as needed to align on approach to drive issue resolution
Responsible for providing research, analysis, and support for identifying, evaluating, and resolving Inventory Management process and system opportunities
Own and manage small projects or parts of larger initiatives, including identification of key issues, work planning, analysis, development of conclusions, and presentation of findings
Provide user acceptance testing at a feature level and present new features to users in both a 1:1 and group setting
Build relationships with project teams, product managers and business and technology partners to champion the needs of the business and drive continuous service improvement

Qualifications & Job Requirements:
2 4-year work experience required
BA/BS required
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Marketplace experience in an apparel retail environment (stores and/or online) or supply chain / merchandising / inventory management industry preferred
Describe the Project / Product (with more details) they will be working on?
They will be providing functional support to resolve Inventory Management Planner issues they encounter while using our Inventory Planning application.
Type of background you are looking for or prefer:
Retail Inventory Management experience, some store experience is acceptable but not as their primary experience. BI/Data experience would be great.
The difference between the 2 roles: In-Season Allocation Support Role:
Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Experience with Business Intelligence reporting is a plus
Comfortable looking in multiple systems to troubleshoot issues
Ability to keep the big picture in mind while troubleshooting and not getting lost in the little details that may not contribute towards the resolution of issues
Pre-Season Tops Down Planning Support Role:
Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Experience with Business Intelligence reporting is a plus
Excel experience since these tools are all Excel based
Top 3-5 Technical Skills needed to perform this role/job?
Experience using Excel spreadsheets
Ability to use and understand systems from an end user perspective
Not afraid to try new systems, applications and tools and learn how to use them from a functional and technical perspective

Excellent communicator both spoken and written
Good at troubleshooting/problem solving and likes to resolve issues for others
Customer Service oriented o Ability to be comfortable working with people from many different areas/positions from Product Managers, Developers, Technical Managers, Directors and Vice Presidents to most importantly Business partners
Ability to understand business partner issues and be able to articulate them to the technical teams in order to get the issue resolved in a timely manner. As well as being able to understand the technical teams' solutions and articulate it back to the business partner in terms that they understand.
Project Duration:
Based on performance, if the individual quickly learns and demonstrates the responsibilities of the role, we would want them to stay on for 1-2 years.
Location & Remote Assistance:
The person will be working from home and the earliest that we may return to the office is July 6th, 2021A Work Schedule: 9:00am-5:00pm
Contract only or Contract to hire:
Contract only for now, but if the individual performs at a high level and the company is doing well financially in the future it could lead to contract for hire.
