This position is responsible for recruiting, researching, sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for open positions with an emphasis on Commercial Driver opportunities. The person holding this position partners with department managers to identify and provide solutions to driver staffing needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skills.

Responsibilities include:

Maintains accurate and organized documentation on all recruiting activities. Effectively works with department leaders to identify and forecast personnel needs, workforce planning strategies to meet business objectives and staffing requirements. Uses effective communication techniques that proactively keep others informed while appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in written form. Regularly communicates with leadership, Operations Dept. staff and with drivers to gain understanding of company culture, business needs and driver expectations. Uses that understanding to help candidates fully and realistically understand the employment opportunity. Provides complete and accurate information to candidates about the company and open positions. Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates, building effective pipeline of key talent available for immediate hire. Leverages online recruiting resources, social media outlets, and in-house resources to identify and recruit qualified candidates. Participates in the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies. Reviews the resumes and credentials of candidates ensuring that the skills, experience and subject knowledge meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Interviews candidates using face-to-face behavioral based interviewing methods designed to identify quality candidates who possess the driving and interpersonal skills needed to successfully meet Company and customer expectations.

Qualifications:

Bi-lingual Spanish/English required, high school diploma + 2 years recruitment experience.

Demonstrated understanding of full cycle recruitment and interviewing methodology;

Experience in making presentations to public, individuals and leadership.

Skilled in effective writing and oral communication. Demonstrated proficiency in English and Spanish language skills, written and verbal. .

Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license.Available to travel by automobile when required.

Working knowledge of the transportation industry, preferred.

Internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases.

Skilled in quickly learning systems, processes, and procedures.

Experience handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications, HRIS, and ATS.

Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening.
