Responsibilities: Under general supervision, guidance and direction, performs a variety of duties including, but not limited to the following:
Primary person to cut steel and prepare other material needed to facilitate shop operations.
Primary person to fabricate, weld and build trailers.
Assist shop personnel with the general assembly of trailers and equipment.
Assist shop personnel with plumbing and wiring trailers and equipment.
Assist shop person with cleaning trailers and equipment for delivery
Assist shop personnel with loading and unloading trucks utilizing the company forklift(s) after forklift training.
Assist the shop foreman and co-workers in ensuring the facility is always maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
Assist the shop foreman in ensuring the companys safety policies and procedures that pertain to his/her area of responsibility are followed.
In addition to the above, other miscellaneous tasks may be assigned by the shop foreman, assistant store manager, store manager, general manager or owners of the company as deemed appropriate.
Requirements:
2 years experience in fabrication and welding
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift heavy objects
High school degree or equivalent
