Job Role: Test Engineer II

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Type: Contract

What You’ll Do:

Prepare hosts for test (identify, assign, validate HW/FW configuration)
Perform testing of new server hardware and its components following Client’s predefined test plans
Perform debug tasks on failures and errors to aid in issue resolution
Draft organized and details qualification test reports with PASS/FAIL criteria
Attend stakeholder meetings to provide updates to open qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

3 years testing and or validating server hardware components
Experience with Linux shell/bash scripting to support hardware testing
Experience with server (x86) and component testing and debug - CPU, DIMM, Motherboard, BMC, SATA/NVME Drive, NIC, PSU
Experience with server management FW components testing and debug - BIOS, BMC/IPMI/redfish, Drive FW, NIC FW
Experience with Jira for task management
Experience with Twiki/Confluence for documentation and knowledge share
Experience with Google apps (docs, sheets, etc) for documentation authoring

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in server hardware development performing NPI qualification on multiple components and systems
Knowledge of hardware components and best practices in how to test them with software scripts in the linux environment
Experience testing at a rack level with potentially several hundred nodes running concurrent tests.
