DescriptionDo you have experience as an individual contributor with expertise in both business/operational processes and project management? As the Project Manager, you should have experience in operational functions and systems. This is the perfect position for someone who has a passion for keeping financial projects on schedule. The Project Manager position will involve completing the detailed requirements documentation, which may include data mapping to accounting or operational systems for proper accounting and reporting of transactions. The business/operational requirements should not only contain specifications from the accounting or leadership team but remarks from key participants from other functional areas as well. This short-term temporary employment opportunity is based in the Sun Valley, California area.What you get to do every single dayInteracts with business and operational users to outline business requirements
Interacts with development team to describe business requirements and operational/business process design
Develops appropriate governance approaches for the projects to ensure constant and effective communication as well as issue resolution
In charge of work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation
Organizes priorities of concurrent project and support assignments and meets stakeholder expectations
On top of creating project sponsor expectations and clearly understanding business drivers, you will recommend changes, when necessary, to project scope, timing, or resources to result in the delivery of strategic solutions
RequirementsAbility to exercise independent judgement and act on it
Proven experience with business, operational and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development
It's preferred that candidates have a Project Management Certification
Bachelor's degree & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience with project management software like Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications required
Process Diagrams experience
Expertise in Microsoft Visio
Proven knowledge of Proper Documentation
Process Documentation experience
Well-founded grasp of Appropriate Documentation
Microsoft Word experience
Solid understanding of Flow Diagram
A qualified candidate would be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction
Experience working with or in an accounting function with a key role in system projects preferred
Versatile project planning abilities that include project costing techniques
Provide information both orally and in writing to executive management, team members, business and technology professionals
