Responsibilities include taking lead on small commercial projects, residential projects and service calls. Applicant needs California journeyman's license or the ability to obtain such within one year of hiring. Must have broad and comprehensive knowledge of ICC commercial and residential electrical codes. Must have own hand tools and dependable transportation for travel to reporting place for work. Applicant must have clean driving record to operate company vehicles and fulfill obligations of the position. Position is based on 40 hours per week but hours will vary per season and workload schedule. Must be willing to work out of vicinity as the need arises. Knowledge of and experience with solar and other green energy systems will be beneficial but not mandatory. Candidate must be proficient in analyzing construction documents (drawings and specifications) including those of other trades that impact the electrical scope. Must be able to work at reasonable heights, in temperature extremes, over rough terrains, around loud noises and equipment customary to building trades places of performance.
Candidates may be asked to complete and pass a company written test.
Candidates may be required to possess or obtain OSHA 30 card.
