Description
Robert Half Technology is in URGENT need of a Network Administrator for a prestigious technology company in Reseda, CA. This will be a 4 month contract-to-hire opportunity and they are looking to hire IMMEDIATELY. The Network Administrator will be responsible for:
•Will be the Tier III support for small to midsize companies (highest level of support at SecureNet)
oWon't be large networks - doesn't need enterprise level network experience
•Will touch on all systems/network throughout different environments
Primary Responsibilities
•Understanding client needs to design and implement client IT infrastructure. This includes routing, switching, virtualization, cloud, servers, and application infrastructure.
•Proactively monitor client IT infrastructure using company tools to provide recommendations for improvement. Must be able to execute recommendations with the help of your assigned team.
•Stay up-to-date with the latest/emerging technologies, security threats, and best practices.
•Accurately document IT infrastructure designs prior to and during implementation.
•Reverse engineer IT environments with little to no documentation.
•Provide out-of-the-box solutions to issues without readily apparent/available fixes.
Required Experience
•4 years of experience in deploying and managing Microsoft Server services including Active Directory (including Group Policies), Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, NPS, etc.
•4 years of experience deploying and managing Linux Server services including CRON, Apache, Nginx, dnsmasq, etc. Debian distro preferred.
•4 years of experience deploying, maintaining, and managing VMware vSphere cluster environments running both HA and Fault Tolerance utilizing both NFS and iSCSI datastore access methods.
•4 years of advanced networking design and configuration experience with the ability to configure: IPSEC encapsulated GRE tunnels, Cisco DMVPN, L2TPv3, NAT, DHCP, etc. Must be able to deploy these services across a wide variety of vendor hardware including Cisco, Sophos, and Fortinet.
•Expert level knowledge of Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
•Experience with Wi-Fi technologies (802.11) using Cisco and/or Aruba controllers and APs
•Experience with dynamic routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and RIP
•Experience with VPN protocols including IPSec, SSL and TLS
•Experience with packet-level capture and traffic analysis tools such as Wireshark and/or tcpdump
•3 years of experience utilizing a remote administration tool.
•3 years of experience utilizing a ticketing system.
•3 years of experience documenting live IT implementations.

•Trouble shooting communication issues, dropping packets, latencies
•Strong network troubleshooting Skills
oTrouble shoot (80%), install (20%), configure it to clients
oIf it breaks, they need to be able to troubleshoot it
oThey are a reseller of the equipment, setup from scratch, install software, customize it to environment then hand it out to the customer.
oIf it is not working, they need to know the nuts and bolts to troubleshoot it
•Strong client facing/customer Service skills
oWill be onsite with different clients/environments
