Seeking Technicians in Admission at the Tarzana location to provide patient care during the admission and transition to Inpatient and Residential treatment.
Required knowledge and ability to 1) Support patients exhibiting symptoms related to substance use disorders and addiction 2) Conduct body and property searches, and perform UA testing of admitting patients in accordance with policy and procedure. This position is cross trained to 1) Complete Avatar admissions, 2) Submit Authorizations, 3) Provide lobby liaison support to patients. The Admission Technician would promote engagement and motivation for services, act as a role model for wellness and recovery, attend assigned trainings, participate in required staff meetings, communicate effectively with all team members across departments, maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with agency policy and federal laws. Understand and practice patient rights. Must have excellent customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. Prior work experience in behavioral healthcare is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required
