General Summary:
The candidate is responsible for proactively evaluating systems security and performance to maintain compliance and development of required annual company risk assessment tools and reports established company information security programs, compilation, submission, containment, and remediation of information security incidents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and respond to security threats from Firewall (FW), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Antivirus (AV), Network Access Control (NAC), and other security threat data sources
Review audit trails, system logs, and other monitoring data sources regularly and ensure compliance with policies and audit requirements.
Assist in the development of security architecture and security policies, principles, and standards.
Work closely with IT and business colleagues to ensure adequate security solutions are in place throughout all systems and platforms to mitigate identified risks sufficiently and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements
Coordinate and direct all phases of security projects from requirement definition to design, architecture, implementation, testing, support, and maintenance
Design the network infrastructure using security techniques to track Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), Spear Phishing, Drive-By Malware, Application Hacking, and other types of cyber threats;
Implement Information Technology (IT) Business Continuity Plan using Business Impact Analysis to define the Recovery Point Objective and Recovery Time Objective of critical IT assets;
Develop and implement security policies governing corporate security, email archiving, internet usage, and access control;
Implement internal and external vulnerability scanning to remediate the risk level of all workstations, servers, and layer three devices
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Two years of full-time paid experience at the level of IT Security Engineer in the area of planning, designing, implementing, and configuring a secure network infrastructure and/or mission-critical applications containing enterprise data
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Knowledge of:
Security and privacy technologies and best practices;
Risk and vulnerability management and remediation;
Cybersecurity operations and incident management;
Operations, services, and activities of information systems security programs;
Use of appropriate security controls and methods to reduce the risk to IT assets;
Advanced concepts, principles, and practices for IT Business Continuity Planning, Emergency Response Plan, architecture and design, voice, data network, and/or wireless security
Splunk, Bitlocker, Cisco, Snort, Checkpoint, and Palo Alto
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are required.
