The Lending Operations and Data Analyst will contribute to Servicing and Operations along with supporting the compliance process and systems. This role will be 100% remote.
Responsibilities
Research and resolve reporting questions from internal and external counterparties
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity of daily reporting, automation and customization
Conduct hands on data mining and analysis to identify issues and improve operational processes
Assist with a variety of activities related to the daily operations of the servicing team
Enhance business operations by driving the creation of policies and procedures both internally and with our third party servicer
Assess current operations and propose enhancements to strengthen the program
Communicate issues and recommendations to the Business and Compliance Teams
Validate issues and perform remediation testing to ensure compliance
Work with engineering to create automated performance monitoring and reporting
Track the progress of various work streams and communicate status to Business and Compliance Teams
Manage pieces of operational workflow and look to improve them by providing scalable solution
Skills:
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in small business or FinTech lending operations with portfolio management, special servicing, and compliance exposure
Experienced using SQL to query, analyze and present data
Ability to work in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to simply lay out the conclusions and reasons for each decision
Ability to constantly focus on the process and to develop and implement operational changes in order to improve efficiency and limit risk throughout the underwriting process
Excellent motivational abilities, willingness to teach and coach, and ability to learn quickly
Ability to work cross functionally across multiple teams including compliance, risk, product, and engineering and manage projects from start to finish
