Description
A reputable company in need of a Programmer Analyst has partnered with Robert Half Technology to find someone with a passion for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives who also has a strong understanding of software and applications programming and industry requirements. Through research and fact-finding, you will make recommendations for developing or modifying applications or databases. This is a long-term temporary Programmer Analyst role based in Turlock, California. Apply today.
How you will make an impact
- Reviews user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Records functional requirements and analyzes cost, feasibility and utility. Makes suggestions regarding how, when and whether to make the changes
- Provides guidance for internal clients on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting problems with programming. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education
- Assesses and logs issues. Works alongside other programmers to correct problems with code
- Evaluates methods of processing. Makes suggestions for improvements
- Collaborates on establishing communication materials for specific system changes being implemented in production
- Create and evaluate programming changes for each systems development phase prior to implementation. Log test cases and expected results. Verify that results meet requirements. May plan basic tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May suggest acceptance/rejection when requirements are not met
- Supports end users and other partner groups, providing ongoing training and assistance for a particular application, system or process
- Builds and maintains dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst

Requirements
- Demonstrated grasp of programming languages
- Resourceful project management background
- Comprehension of PC and mainframe hardware/software
- C# experience
- Adeptness in SQL
- Command of C Sharp Programming (C#)
- Practical knowledge of Develop Stored Procedures
- Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
- Foundational knowledge in Visual Studio
- Demonstrated knowledge of SQL Developer
- General familiarity with Create Stored Procedures
- PL/SQL Queries experience highly desired
- Complex Stored Procedures experience highly preferred
- 3+ years experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
