PURPOSE The Director, Project Management is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of all technology related projects across various departments and providing strategic support to the technology team. This is a highly motivated leader with excellent organizational skills, with the ability to stay on top of a variety of commitments and deadlines; must be able to lead a team of offshore coordinators to manage projects, timelines and resources. Works closely with the Product and the Delivery teams to establish priorities and manage expectations. This position is fully remote during COVID-19 and will ultimately sit in Tustin, CA or Durham, NC (pending state guidelines). RESPONSIBILITIES
Mentor and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators
Implement and standardize SCRUM Agile process for Technology Department sprint teams
Implement portfolio management tool for all technology projects
Responsible for developing business cases for proposed projects, including determining scope, timeline, cost and resource estimates
Oversee project planning and ensure planning aligns with strategic direction
Work with PM projects teams to continuously improve productivity and identify potential best practices
Work with stakeholders and tech team members to address gaps and create any processes and SOPs to help the onshore and offshore teams with efficiency and consistency including:
Training
Onboarding
Process Flows
Scheduling

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in information technology or software development
Strong project and portfolio management skills
Deep Knowledge of Jira, Confluence
Deep knowledge of JIRA portfolio management tool or other tools
Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Strong leadership qualities
Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of experience in project/product management position
Experience with Agile methodologies for SDLC
Experience with healthcare, mHealth and/or clinical research is desired
