Job Description

The Office Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of routine clerical matters: medical records, data entry, telephone calls, and assist with Human Resource functions.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  1. Provides assistance to Branch Office Manager and Director of Patient Care Services, preserving the confidential nature of items of which he/she has knowledge.
  2. Answers telephone inquiries in a professional demeanor and channels them appropriately.
  3. Maintains accurate and up to date medical records in accordance with regulations of Medicare and the Policy and Procedure Manual.
  4. Closes patient's clinical record when discharged.
  5. Assists with requests for the release of Medical Records.
  6. Handles all correspondence and forwards the necessary pertinent information to the Corporate Office.
  7. Assists with the maintenance of Employee Files, including the preparation of information required for onboarding new employees.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma required.
  2. Minimum of one year of experience in home health, hospice, health care facility, or graduation from a one or two year business college preferred.
  3. General knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, medical records and office procedures.
  4. Effective social integration, communication, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and time manage effectively.
  5. Personal Car for travel and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  6. Maintain personal automotive liability insurance coverage.
