Job Description

You will act as a thought leader across the Corporate Development & Strategy team to drive critical business decisions and strategy and work closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams to develop and execute M&A transactions. You will:

  • Track and understand technological trends and shifts in the Security ecosystem that could provide new opportunities to FireEye
  • Identify trends and develop strategic frameworks and competitive landscape maps for segments of interest to FireEye
  • Establish and nurture relationships with potential sellers, i.e. corporations, entrepreneurs, bankers, investors
  • Evaluate and pull together business cases on portfolios of new and emerging technologies that could have disruptive consequences in Security
  • Work closely with Product and Mandiant Solutions team on building out portfolio of new opportunities with Go To Market strategies
  • Lead cross-functional acquisition team through strategy formulation, transaction negotiation, due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger integration
  • Develop longer-term financial and operating metrics to improve business performance in conjunction with FP&A team
  • Collaborate with analytics team to develop insight into root cause drivers of key operating metrics such as customer retention and behavior, product refresh cycles, individual product performance, etc

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate will have a breadth of ability from constructing detailed Excel models for analysis to synthesizing that analysis for presentation to senior execs and the board.
  • Prior experience of 8-10 years of relevant high-tech work experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting and/or corporate development required
  • Strong Excel modeling skills (Marcos, Scenario Tools, Simulations) and PowerPoint deck story telling capability (with strong ability to incorporate key visualizations of data and concepts)
  • Strategic thinker with excellent business judgment who has a passion for tackling complex, financial/operational data and modeling
  • Excellent presentation/communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into executive-level insights and recommendations
  • Prior experience in CyberSecurity preferred
