In this role you will lead a very energetic team of Education Services Content Developers to create and maintain technical training materials including lectures, hands-on lab activities, demonstrations, and exams.
The focus of this technical role is serving the learning needs of Palo Alto Networks’ product users, both internal and external. Extensive familiarity with technical training best practices, technical acumen, and flexibility are required to lead a team in designing, producing, publishing, and maintaining world class learning experiences, covering domains including product deployment, configuration, solution design, and troubleshooting.
Palo Alto Networks’ product portfolio covers a growing range of underlying technologies required to meet the evolving needs of cyber security. These technologies range from general networking to endpoint systems, from SaaS to Public Cloud infrastructures, from SD-WAN to Machine Learning. Such range causes equal challenge to users as it does to enablers.
This position is charged with being the leader of the technical training team. This will be accomplished by designing, developing, producing, and ensuring the quality of technical training experiences.
Your Impact
Develop, implement and continually improve processes and procedures for effective and efficient team operations, with a focus on operational efficiency
Lead the strategy for the next generation learning platform; managing the optimization of the LMS as well as ensuring that our infrastructure keeps up with the evolving world of learning best practices
Strong project management skills and proven results of success in implementing projects and benefiting organizations.
Drive strategic innovation in various areas of operations with a hands-on approach to various day to day activities.
Lead and motivate our operations team. We believe in growing our people so are looking for an individual who is passionate about growing, mentoring and coaching team members to greater success
Develop key partnerships and collaborate with the Global Enablement leaders and teams to deliver seamless services to our learners
Develop and track key performance indicators for all learner audiences as well as for Global Enablement overall
Manage the financial planning process as well as the budgeting process for department
Manage contracts, invoices, budget for the organization
Build on our current reporting capabilities to develop data mining and analysis to identify and highlight key trends in learning that we can leverage in our program design
Your Experience
Self-starter, highly analytical with sound decision-making skills
5+ years previous experience in an educational operations leadership role
5+ years prior experience in people management
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and projects
LMS experience from an architectural/strategy perspective desired
Team-oriented professional with superior presentation skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to foster and maintain strong partnering relationships with sales and technical departments and be able to present recommendations based on data analysis – and execute on those recommendations
Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Laser focus on data integrity
BS/BA in business, finance, or IT related field
Expert Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
Advanced PowerPoint or Google Slides skills
Experience with Tableau or related data visualization tools
Experience with ServiceNow or related ticketing tools
