SummaryAbout the position:This position will be assigned to the Community Service Flight at the Pacific Coast Club. This position will require you to occasionally work on weekends. Frequently lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Continuous standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching pushing, pulling and bending. May be required to work on ladders and use of powered cleaning equipment.ResponsibilitiesOperates limited coffee operation. Prepares a limited variety of hot beverages such as cappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, hot chocolate, etc. by selecting proper ingredients. Serves cold beverages and food items, such as soda, juice, cookies, muffins, pastries, etc. Receives payment, operates cash register, makes and returns change to patrons. Sets up work area for operation and obtain cash bank. Maintains work area in a neat and clean manner. Sets up/cleans table for customers and replenish condiment items as necessary. Sets up and operates dishwasher, perform preventive maintenance and cleaning. Scrapes, soaks, scours glassware, dishes and utensils as required. Also performs heavy duty cleaning tasks as required such as; coffee machines, ceilings, under and behind equipment, refrigerators, washed floors and walls, sanitizes garbage cans. May unload stock from delivery trucks. Collects and transfer trash from work area to disposal area. Assists with inventories, identifies items for re-ordering. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
