ResponsibilitiesIn this position you will be responsible for all functions pertaining tocentralized receiving at the Materials Management/Receiving department within UCLA Health. Your responsibilities include accepting deliveries, verifying quantities, signingacceptance and data entry utilizing the Materials Management computer system. You will be responsible for the completion of the receiving process as it pertains todistribution of supplies and equipment. Supplies and equipment will bedelivered in a timely manner adhering to delivery schedule procedures and enduser accepting signatures are to be obtained. You will be responsible for following the protocolsfor returned merchandise, documentation for receiving, and ensuring returning and shippingwill be properly completed. Additionally, maintenance of the receiving departments filingsystems will be essential.May convert to careerQualificationsRequired:Must be a High School Graduate
Shipping and receiving experience
Must be skilled in reading and writing and standard English text. This includes being skilled in speaking clearly and distinctly to obtain and convey information to individuals at various levels of the organization.
Must be skilled with copy machines, fax machine, and working with a desktop computer
Must be able to push and pull 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds
You must be able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of proper lifting and carrying techniques sustaining a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers
Maintain a positive attitude and behavior and adapt to changes in the workload
Must be able to work variable, rotating shifts
Ability to use electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, forklift, furniture dollies, supply dollies, and heavy duty transport carts
