DescriptionRequiring proficiency with Paylocity, Accountemps seeks a Payroll Administrator to help process payroll. The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Venice, California as a short-term temporary role.What you get to do every single dayResolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Enter changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers as part of managing payroll records
Review source documents with necessary verification
Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation
Manage issues related to employee deductions and other liabilities, including reconciling
Draft relevant year-end reports, as well as weekly, monthly, and quarterly ones, for department heads
Supporting all internal and external audits related to payroll
Put together summaries of employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to calculate all payroll liabilities
Guarantee company compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
Take charge of all questions and requests related to payroll
Secure confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence
Follow established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations and report changes as necessary
Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data
Manage other tasks as assigned

Prior experience using accounting software
2+ years of relevant experience in payroll
Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
Preference will be given to Certified Payroll detail oriented
Benefits payroll experience preferred
Garnishments payroll experience highly desired
Comprehensive knowledge of Paylocity
Payroll for under 100 employees experience preferred
Payroll experience
Proven knowledge of Wages
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
Mastery of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
