A long established Civil and Environmental Consulting firm in Southern California has an immediate opening for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to work in the field of Water/Wastewater design and consulting for many unique, challenging projects in California and the Southwest.
The ideal candidate would be a California Registered Civil Engineer, have a BS or advanced degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in design and 2 years’ experience in project management. Professional level written and verbal communication skills are a must. A working knowledge of AutoCAD, hydraulic computer programs such as WaterCAD,, and Flowmaster, is desired.
Duties:
Lead the project team. Communicate with clients. Design and compile plans and specifications. Perform engineering calculations for a variety of water resource projects involving potable water distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, fire protection, irrigation, tailwater recovery, grading and stormwater drainage, surface and groundwater hydrology.
Produce reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, permit applications, exhibits and related documents. Assist in business development, marketing, and compiling proposals and budgets.
