Requirements:
No specific educational requirements are needed. A minimum of Two years of experience in planning and meal preparation and managing a kitchen is required. Excellent communication skills are a must.
Job Description:
Preparation and cooking of all foods and oversees presentation of meals.
Prepare 3 well-balanced meals per day (8:00am, 12:15pm and 5:00pm ) and one snack (2:30pm) following a pre-planned menu for 10-18 people.
Monitors sanitation practices to ensure that standards and regulations are followed.
General duties and day to day operations:
1. Our clients come first and must be treated with kindness and dignity
2. All guests must be treated respectfully and hospitably
3. Log client food allergies in an orderly fashion on the white board in the kitchen; must be visible and organized for use by anyone
4. Mark all open food items and cleaning supplies with “open and date”
5. The refrigerator and freezer must be kept clean.
6. Monitor and log refrigerator temperature daily
7. Keep music on at meal times. Volume level should be acceptable to all clients
Physical Demands:
To perform the essential functions of this position, employee must be able to stand and move continuously during work hours; walk; talk or hear; use hands; reach with arms; lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
