A vibrant 6-bed residential care facility for the elderly is looking for a hard-working and compassionate caregiver to join our team. We currently have a full-time position open for our evening/grave yard shift 10PM - 6 AM, Monday-Friday.
On-going training will be provided in addition to a wonderful and fulfilling working environment. Our care home is located in Oxnard.
Responsibilities include helping residents with:
- Personal hygiene such as toileting, bathing, dressing and grooming
- Incontinence care
- Light housekeeping services and laundry
- Medication reminders
- Exercise and physical assistance
- Conversation, companionship and mental stimulation
Qualifications:
- Must be compassionate, honest and reliable
- Passionate about providing care for elders
- Good work ethic
- Must be patient and know how to re-direct challenging behavior
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Experience working with elderly with Alzheimers/Dementia is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Must be at least 21-years-old
- No criminal background
- Physical examination and TB test within the last year
- Proof of eligibility to work in United States
