Under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness of cottages and/or assigned areas. The Housekeeper carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it pertains to cleanliness and the daily housekeeping of Casa Pacifica.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keeps Maintenance Supervisor and necessary others appraised of daily functions and problems pertaining to cleanliness concerns and/or compliance issues.
Reports property damage and unusual occurrences.
Safeguards all chemicals at all times and keeps them out of reach from the children.
Replenishes supplies in all determined areas.
Sorts, counts, folds and marks all linens for cottages.
Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, light fixtures and corridors with disinfectant and cleaning solutions.
Sweeps, scrubs and polishes floors. Vacuums rugs and carpeting.
Shampoos carpets and upholstery.
Strips and waxes floors, using proper chemicals.
Dusts furniture and wood work. Washes walls and counter tops. Washes windows, door panels and sills.
Empties all waste baskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Handles heavy lifting projects as needed.
Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to personnel, operations and clients.
May perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
