The C.R.E.W. is an environmentally oriented nonprofit youth leadership and employment organization. Founded in 1991, the C.R.E.W provides leadership and job training, and paid employment to local youth up to 23 years of age, while preserving, maintaining, and improving public and private wild lands, protecting local communities against the threat of wildfire, and assisting with wildfire recovery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Builds and does repair work on local trails, public and private firebreaks, and habitat in need of restoration.

From 18-24 years of age, may also use power tools as necessary. From 14-17 years of age, uses hand tools including Pulaskis, McLeods, loppers and hand saws.

Must adhere to CREW protocols regarding job site and fire safety, as well as appropriate behavior.

Position involves manual labor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school attendees must have valid high school work permit.

Experience: None.

Skills: Must be physically fit.
