Plaintiffs’ personal injury firm in Ventura County is seeking a full-time, experienced civil litigation paralegal/case manager. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have prior experience at a civil litigation firm
Duties/Essential Functions
Prepare substantive responses to written discovery focusing on fact-gathering
Prepare draft discovery to defendants
Summarize depositions and discovery
Order, organize, and summarize medical records
Schedule depositions and prepare deposition notices
Coordinate clients' depositions and defense medical examinations
Coordinate attorneys’ meetings with clients, experts, etc.
Prepare meet-and-confer correspondence
Maintain a complex calendar
Prepare subpoenas to third parties
Research local court rules and legal issues
Prepare pleadings and documents for court filing
Interact with clients, court staff, opposing counsel and staff, experts, and third parties
