Currently seeking an Assistant Production Manager for a position in Fillmore, CA.
Job Duties:
The Assistant Production Manager works alongside the Production Manager to schedule and direct personnel and resources towards providing quality, cost-effective products to clients.
Will be actively involved with company succession planning.
Understand client needs via regular communication with the Account Manager.
Ensure that job site quality and appearance meet client and company standards.
Manage agricultural operations, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality product.
Prepare specific action plan for operation. Adjust schedule as needed and follow up.
Monitor operations systems, identify problems or necessary repairs & solutions. Communicate recommendation to the appropriate party.
As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to proper operations and maintenance, storage, use, and training required for equipment.
Work with Production Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew members, and prepare daily crew schedules.
Ensure proper paperwork is completed for all employee changes and hires.
Train, discipline, review, and develop growth plans for employees.
Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, grower techniques, safety, and quality standards.
Job Requirements:
1 - 2 years experience in the construction trades as a construction supervisor or foreman and/or 1 - 2 years experience as a grower or in agricultural operations.
Experience managing a team.
Forward planning and looking to grow skills and abilities.
$20.00/hour
Monday - Friday 8AM to 5PM FT
